Finding Nemo

I was right last night when I said you would have a long night. You didn't fall asleep until close to midnight. The good part about that is at least you slept until 9 this morning. After we all got up and ready we decided to go find Nemo. We started by going to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. When we first got there you were definitely not sure what to expect, but once we were there, you fit right in.
We started looking at all the fish and you did such a good job waiting your turn to see the fish. We didn't even take your stroller and you were such a big girl walking around.
We went outside where you had the most fun. You loved reaching your hands into the pools, even though you were too small to touch anything. You still felt like such a big shot. It was really cute.

After the pools and sharks, we headed over to the Lorikeets. We bought some nectar for them to eat and you were not afraid at all. I was quite impressed, because I was a little afraid. You stayed with Daddy while he fed them and then you wanted to do it yourself. Such a big girl.

Because of all that excitement, we totally forgot why we were there in the first place.....we needed to Find Nemo!!! So we went back in to do some more searching... We headed past the Sea Lions - nope, said hello to the starfish, but still no Nemo. We saw a gigantic stingray, and even a bunch of Dori's, but where in the world was Nemo? Was he here??? NOPE!!

Finally, after hours of searching we found him. But not just one, a million Nemos? You were thrilled.

That made the trip well worth the crowd :)
So after finding Nemo, we decided to leave and have some lunch. It was a beautiful day, so we walked over to Chili's and sat outside to watch the boats. It was so nice. The we walked around Shoreline Village to enjoy the day some more. On our way back, you finally fell asleep. You were such a trooper and had so much fun. I'm really glad that we were able to find Nemo. You are a great fish detective :) Love you and thanks for a fun day.
