Catching Up

Boy have we have a very busy last 5 days or so... We have a lot to catch up on. I'm sure I'll forget a few things, but here were the highlights:

We had 2 Disneyland trips where you saw many of your favorite characters, including Woody. You made the biggest impression on him because you gave him a present (a leaf you found on the ground) He thought it was really cute and he even put it in his pocket to keep. You were so excited. We got to go on many, many rides between the two trips and even got to see your cousin Curt. Here are some pics from both trips:)
Giving your gift to Woody :) He was touched!

Here you are with Jessie

Blowing a kiss to Pooh (after he kissed you on the hand)

We also met Grammy and Grampy at the movies one day to see Shrek 3. You were quite a wiggler throughout the movie, but overall you did a really nice job. I think you enjoyed the popcorn way more than the actual movie, but it was still fun.

After the movie we went to the park to have lunch and play. You had a very fun time. Thanks Grammy and Grampy for the awesome time.

One day we stayed home and cleaned up the backyard, which of course meant we had to pull out your pool. You had fun playing in your pool and staying cool on such a nice day.

While you were napping, Daddy and I changed your crib into a big girl daybed. You were so excited.

Later in the evening, Grammy, Grampy, Cici and Uncle Doug came over and we had a fire going fo we could make smores :)

You aren't really much of a chocolate fan, so you just ate the marshmallows by themselves.
Then you, Cici and Grammy had a little camp out and you enteratined us all.

Today started with you and Daddy washing the cars. You were a big helper:)

Then we went over to Grammy and Grampy's for dinner and some fun in the sun. You and Hailee had a great time playing in the sprinkler that Grampy set out. But, of course, that wasn't enough for you two. So into the pool you went.

You didn't get to take a nap all day, so you were quite tired. I tried to keep you awake on our 7 minute drive home, but it didn't work. :)

Thanks for a great weekend Kendyl. I am so proud of how big you are getting each day. I love every minute we get to spend together. I can't wait for summer to start!

Busy, Busy

This weekend we had a full, busy weekend. It started off Friday with our long overdue trip to Target:) Now, I know that doesn't sound very exciting to some, but come on, it's Target. How can that NOT be a great start to a weekend. Daddy brought us home yummy Baja Fresh and you mowed down your quesadilla:)
On Saturday, we started off by going to Abbey's 1st Communion at the church. You did a pretty nice job during the ceremony and even told me (of course right in the middle of church) that you had to potty. SO I took you to the potty and, sure enough, you had to go. You even had a dry diaper:) I was so proud, that I almost became a true believer again :)

After mass, we went to Abbey's grandma's house where you got to play with all kinds of kids. There were at least 4 other kids about your age and you were having fun with them all. We didn't get to stay too long because we wanted you to get a good nap. Saturday was our 6 year anniversary and Daddy and I were going to out on a date. Grammy and Grampy came over to play with you and said you were really good.
On Sunday you woke up and said, when we going to Grammy's? So we called her to ask and before we knew it we were all over there for a BBQ. It was super windy so we didn't get to go in the pool, but you still had fun with Mallorey and Logan.
Overall, it was a great weekend. I only have a few weeks left of school and then we get to hang all day. I can't wait!!!!! Love you french fry. Thanks for being so dang cute.

Happy Birthday Brandon

Today is Brandon's 2nd birthday and you were sooooo excited. After I picked you up we went over to Brandon's house for yummy pizza, cupcakes, and playtime. Brandon is getting to be such a big boy and you guys are starting to play really well together now, except when you slam his head against the wall. We wanted to sing him a special song, but I seem to have misplaced my camera so we can just wish him a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! We love you, Brandon.

Brandon's Backyardigan Party

Yesterday we got up and drove out to Simi Valley for Brandon's birthday party. We had sooo much fun. You made some new friends and were very well behaved, especially for not having much of a nap. Brandon was having a Backyardigan themed party and we found a dress in your closet that looked very similar to Uniqua (from the show) so we put you in that so you would go with the theme. You were very cute:)
You had some yummy pizza, jumped in the bouncer, played with Jayden a lot, fell in love with Baby Cami, had a yummy cupcake, went to "Art class" to do homework, helped Brandon open his presents, played some more, and just had a great time. Here are some pictures of the great day.
Here you are with your Uniqua dress and mask on

and here is the real Uniqua (the similarities are too much for me)

Thank you Nordlanders for having us at the coolest Backyardigan party ever. We had an awesome time. Happy Birthday Brandon

Mother's Day

So yesterday the three of us went for a little drive and ended up at Shoreline Village in LB. We walked around there, played some arcade games, won a few prizes, and just had a lot of fun.

Then we got in the car and drove down the coast a bit and went to the beach. We actually got out and walked down to the water. You have been wanting to go for along time, and yesterday seemed like the perfect day. So we played in the water for a while before heading out to dinner.

We went to Acapulco for dinner and sat out by the water so you could see all the boats go by. It was an awesome Mother's Day present.

Today I woke up and took a nice bubble bath and before I knew it your little naked body walked in there and climbed in. It was very cute. Then Daddy went and got us some breakfast. Then we played, took naps, and then headed over to grammy and grampy's for a fun day. We celebrated Aunt Heidi's bday and mother's day all at once. Thanks for a great Mother's Day. You really are the best present ever. I love being your mom and I love you even more.

Princesses in the making...ahhhh

As most of you know, I am not a princessy girl. When pregnant, I was a bit nervous to have a girl because I was never really the frilly, dress up type. I was more of a tomboy. I love that some are, but I am just not one of them. It pains me when she receives princess dress up things, but I let her explore. I do, however, love the fact that her cousin Hailee has every single one because Kendyl can go over there and get her "fix" and we can leave all the dresses there :)Last night we went over to Hailee's new house and the two of you had a ball playing dress up.
Here are the "pink" princesses

This was the "talent" part of the night. Hailee singing her original "Don't worry baby" and you sing Justin Beiber's "Baby, Baby, oh" (Your new favorite song)

Here you are as Tiana and Cinderella

You really make a beautiful Tiana. Well, you make a beautiful anything.

Here you were bibbity boppity booing us

I do have to admit though that you both make 2 pretty princesses. You guys played very well together tonight. I'm very proud of you guys. Love you both!

Happiest day at the happiest place

Yesterday I took the day off and you and I headed out to Disneyland. We had never been there by ourselves before and boy, was it worth the wait. This was the best day at Disneyland that I can ever remember having. You were such a good girl all day, even though you only took a 30 min nap. We went on just about everything that we wanted and there were barely any lines at all.
We went to CA Adventure first and hit Monsters Inc, the Carousel, Toy Story, Golden Zephyr, and all the bug's land rides in what seemed like no time at all. Not to mention we stopped and watched thePlayhouse Disney show that you had never seen. At first you were a bit shy, but once you started it was hard to get you to stop.

I was quite impressed with the show. It was much cuter than I thought it would be, and you loved it, so it was perfect.
Here you are on Toy Story, you scored over 19,000 points all by yourself!!! You are awesome!

Here you are on the Golden Zephyr. You liked it at first and then we got a little too high for you.

Ladybug tea cups. You loved it.

Then we headed over to Disneyland for some more fun. Right when we got there we saw all the characters out. You were very excited.
Unfortunately, it was their lunch time, so we didn't get to see them all, but you did get a quick hug from Goofy before saying good-bye

So we headed to a bunch of rides, including Buzz Lightyear, Tea cups, Alice in Wonderland, Pinocchio, Dumbo, Small World, Pirates of the Carribean, Haunted House, Jungle Cruise, Autopia, and a few others. We were soooo busy, we barely had time to stop for lunch.

Loved the tea cups, even when I spun it real fast

"Why it not working?"
A little nervous on Pirates

Driving and still cool
A little video of your 1st driving experience

Loving the animals on Jungle Cruise

Goofy was, by far, your favorite character of the day!!!

You were very excited to see them both together

You went to give Mickey a hug and instead you pinched his nose.

Pluto was having fun with you.

This was right after you pulled Pluto's ears....silly

Thanks for being such an awesome playdate today. I honestly had soooo much fun watching you enjoy everything and take it all in. You are the coolest kid in the world, and I am soooo lucky to have been blessed with an awesome daughter like you. You make me soooo happy! I love you french fry. Thanks for giving me the best present ever, you!
