Bball and cuzzi

This weekend we had another fun one. Saturday kicked it off with the annual neighborhood yard sale. We didn't sell anything, but me and you got out and walked around. We didn't find any goods, but you sure kept yourself entertained with a plastic egg along the way.

After your nap, the 3 of us went to my student, Cedric's basketball game. His team is realllllly good. They won by 61 points. You had a hard time sitting still for most of the game, which is something we definitely need to work on :)

After the game we headed over to Cici and Doug's for dinner. You had a lot of fun with Max and Ginger, even though you can't tell them apart yet:) You got to meet Rocky, the squirrel that visits them daily. You thought he was very toot (cute).

We had a yummy dinner, watched bball (as you now call it),played Wii and even went in the jacuzzi. At first you just put your feet in, but once everyone else went in, you were ready. You had a blast in there, as I knew you would, since you love water. After the cuzzi we hung out and then came home.

Today we had a VERY natural day. We just hung out at home all day and played. It was awesome. When you woke up from your nap, all you wanted was a piece of pizza? I'm not sure how/why you remembered that we had some on Friday, but we let you have a piece for lunch and you ate every bite. We had a lot of fun, especially when you were making daddy make funny faces.

So thanks for a fun weekend. Time to get you in the bath and get ready for bed. Love you french fry.

My new ride

The Easter Bunny brought me this cool new quad. Actually, he couldn't wait for me to have it, so he gave it to me a few days early :) I'm still learning how to turn the wheels, but I can go straight with the best of them:)

Shoe Fairy

Well, I think we have a mysterious shoe fairy here. She likes to sneak in at night and steal one shoe. That's the only conclusion I can come up with, since there are 4 pair of shoes that each have a missing partner. I've looked everywhere and they are all missing one?? I don't get it.
So, please shoe fairy, return them soon :)

Where did it go??

Kendyl,
This has been a great week, and I am sooo sad to see it end. I didn't think I could bond with you or love you anymore, but this week proved me wrong. We had sooo much fun together and we also learned a lot about each other. I wish we could spend every day together like we did this week, but at least I know I'm sending you off to someone who will take extra special care of you. So, thanks for being my partner in crime this week. I love you soooo much.

Here are some highlights from our week together which started with your first slumber party with Mal and Logan:
See no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil, and your addition ?smell no evil? or ?pick no evil

Play date

Today you had a fun playdate with Brandon and Jackson. The three of you played really well together, for the most part. You , however, became a little territorial over some of your toys when the boys wanted to play with them. I guess you need to get used to the idea of sharing :) Overall, we had a nice day and need to do it again soon ;) Thanks for coming over everyone.

Here are you and Brandon in the ball pit (that blew away later with the crazy wind)

Here's you and Jackson on your train (that you wouldn't share) :(

Again, not a fan of sharing the car either (and it's technicnally not even yours)

Here's Brandon wondering what he's got himself into.

Here you are trying to sneak into Brandon's carseat. I guess you wanted to go home with him.

My first Pony ride

Today we met Lisa and B Lo down at Irvine Regional Park for a little date. Her friend, Dev and her daughter, Isabel also came, and so did Auntie Evonne. When we first got there we all went on the really cool train ride..

Then we headed over to their zoo and saw all types of different animals. Your favorite, by far, were the goats because they were "nice."

After the zoo, we went over to the pony rides. You were a very good girl until you knocked poor Isabel over when you were trying to give her hugs. You meant to give hugs, but instead you tackled her and you both went down. Sorry Isabel:( Here you are waiting for your turn with Brayden and Auntie Evonne.

This was your first time and I wasn't sure how you would respond, but you loved it. Our pony's name was Freddy and you liked him a lot. You even pet him while riding and started to get sad when we had to get off. It was really cute.

We left after the pony ride and you took a nice long nap in the car on the way home. I love you, Kendyl. Hope you had a fun day. I could get used to this :)n

Cousins and Camp Snoopy

Last night Mallorey and Logan came over and the three of you had a blast. Daddy turned Logan into a burrito and told stories all night.

You all slept in the living room together on the futon mattress. It was your first slumber party. You were delirious all night, walking around, falling, and rolling. We had a lot of fun laughing at you.

Finally, you laid down with me on the couch and crashed. I put you down with them and the three of snoozed the night away. You all woke up around 8 am ready to start the day. You ate half of Logan's donut and then I made you three some pancakes and bacon. You sat at the table with them to eat and thought you were so cool.

After breakfast we all played for a little while and then headed to my classroom to pick up a few things. On the way back, we all decided that we needed a nap. So after lunch, we all chilled and rested for about an hour. You actually slept for 2 1/2 hrs. Then we went to Mallorey and Logan's house to pick up Aunt Heidi, because we were all going to Knott's Berry Farm. You have never been there, so I was very excited to take you for the first time. We all bought year passes, so now we can go whenever we want. :)
Here are you three: Hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil... (on the safari train)

You went on a bunch of rides, but your favorite was, of course, the Merry-go-round. We went on Snoopy's Camp Bus too. At first you loved it, but then the drop came and the look on your face was priceless. I was holding you, and I actually felt you shaking :( You never cried though, and in fact, when we came back over to Camp Snoop later, you wanted to go on again. You're so brave!!! You also loved the balloon race ride. You and I sat together and you even raised both your hands at one point because you are just that cool :) Here you are on the balloon ride.

I hope you had a fun day, I know I did. Love you french fry.

Hoppy Easter

The Easter Bunny arrived in Lakewood this morning, but he had to hide the eggs we made last night in the backyard, because there were 2 big kids sleeping on the couch. I think you and Daddy were trying to stay awake to "catch" him, but he outsmarted you both. After we woke up, we put on some shoes and headed to the backyard for you 1st official hunt.

You did a great job finding all 12 eggs that the bunny hid. After you found them, Daddy blew some bubbles and you had fun catching them all.

Then you had your very first donut, or do-but as you called it. Then we took naps so we could go over to grandma and grandpa's for more Easter fun. We got dressed and headed over. There we had another egg hunt and you got way toooo many presents. We had yummy lasagne, ham and everything else you could possibly want. We had a lot of fun playing with everyone, in fact we had sooo much fun that Mallorey and Logan came over to spend the night with you. The 3 of you are playing with Daddy right now, going crazy. It's going to be a long night.... :)

Hurry up, Easter Bunny!!

Kendyl is reallllly ready for the Easter Bunny to come tomorrow. She has been hopping and dancing for weeks now, anticpating the big day.
Love you french fry.

Eggs, but no bacon

Tonight Daddy went to another basketball game, so me and you crashed Mallorey and Logan's egg dyeing party. This was your first time dyeing Easter eggs and boy did you have a good time.

After you kids (and adults) finished decorating all the eggs, we had our Friday bowling match and I'm sorry to say, I did not bring home the bacon. Grandpa took home the trophy this time. While we were bowling, you were having a blast with your cousins sliding around on the floor. Who needs toys when you've got socks and pillows?

Thanks for letting us tag along family. We had a lot of fun.

Birthday Present

Today is Aunt Cyndi's birthday and boy did you give her a present to remember. After I picked you up from Jen Jen's we met Cyndi, Brandon, Eric, Evonne, Abbey and Tara at Islands for dinner. You had a very fun time playing with Brandon. He is getting so big and you really thought he was funny. You even tried to sneak him one of your fishies. You two were the cutest kids there, and everyone that walked by agreed.

Unfortunately, you weren't cute for very long because just when we were getting ready to order dessert, you started getting clingy, and grouchy. You were saying, "hurt, hurt" while pointing to your belly. Before we knew it, you threw up all over the table. It was very disgusting and stinky. I don't think I have ever seen so much vomit come out of you before and I apologize to all that were near because it was not a pretty site. I'm pretty sure it was just something funky that you ate, (you did have a couple spoonfuls of my BBQ chicken salad, which could have done the trick) because you were back to your normal self quickly after.

So, sorry for the wonderful birthday memory Aunt Cyndi. At least you were sitting on the other side of the table :) And thanks to everyone who did not puke after seeing and smelling the lovely-ness :) Love you Kendyl, but you sure do know how to make sure the day is always about you (that's my girl)
Happy Birthday Aunt Cyndi!!!

19 months and SOOOOO Cool!

My girl

Today you are another month older and another month closer to being an adult :) Ok, so maybe I exaggerated a little, but I swear you were just learning how to roll over and know you are a sprinter and a pretty good hopper. Well, my little french fry, I love you, and I can't wait to share every moment with you. This is a picture of us from our latest trip to the park. Love you.

What's happening to my sweet baby?

OK, I knew the day would come when those "terrible 2's" would hit, but I'm afraid that they are already happening for my little french fry. My sweet, little happy baby girl now enjoys throwing full on tantrums, while screaming, kicking, and yelling "NOOOO." She is finding ways to "enjoy" time-out so that is not working as well as it once did.
I guess I shouldn't be so shocked that it is happening at 18 months. She did crawl @ 7 months, walk @ 9, and hasn't stopped talking since she said her first "word." But I was secretly hoping that she might just skip that stage since she has been such an easy baby. Jokes on me... I'm going to get it 10 times worse to make up for the last 18 months of happy-go-lucky Kendyl. Oh well, I guess that's part of the "joy" of motherhood. Love you, french fry.

STRIKE

Daddy and I have had to take the batteries out of one of the Wii remotes because you throw a tantrum if you don't get to "play" when we do. So you get the battery-less one and we bowl as a family. You are so cute too, you really think you are bowling and you always get soooo excited once the pins are hit. I love it, but I love you more.

Park Fun

Today the three of us spent the day together. We ran a few errands and then we went to the park. It was a really cool park in Cerritos called Heritage Park. I hadn't been there for many years, and neither you nor daddy had ever been there, so it was pretty new for us all. You had soooo much fun playing on all the toys, swings and slides. They have at least 15 different slides and I think you went down every one of them. You even got me and daddy to go down a few :0

Here are some clips of some sliding "Adventures"

Here you are feeding the ducks: This very nice lady was giving you bread to feed the ducks with.
After feeding the ducks the three of us came home, rested and then went to Logan's football game, then to our weekly bowling tournament, and I barely beat grandma to bring home the trophy :). You also learned a new trick, thanks to Mallorey, which I will get on video soon to share.
Love you french fry, thanks for a great day.
