HAIR-raising problem

So next Friday you are in your cousin, Aaren's wedding and we have been working on how we are going to do your hair for the big day. Your hair, as we all know, is very curly. It is ringlet curly, and I love it but the problem arises when we have to keep those curls under control :0 For the last week or so we have been playing with it down, half up, with flowers, with headbands, without everything....and I am still not sure what we are going to do.
I do know that you are very excited and all you want to do is wear your dress and fancy shoes and practice throwing flowers in the air:)
Here is the front runner for your hair at this point.... up in a pony out of your face...just not sure if we like the flower headband, or the bow headband....

Circus

Last Sunday we went to the circus with the Nordlanders, Jen Jen and Sophia. You had a lot of fun, especially running around in the suite. You weren't too interested in the show, but neither were we. I have to admit that it wasn't the best circus we've ever seen:( But the good thing is, is that you got to play with your friends, eat a lot of junk, run around like crazy, get a cool toy (that you have already lost) and dress up like a clown.

Hot, Hot, Hot

The last few days have been really hot. Yesterday you and I went to California Adventure and hung out for a little while. We didn't stay too long because it was so hot, but just long enough to catch a show and a few rides. We met Jen Jen, Nana, Tori and 3 of Tori's friends there. They were going to celebrate Tori's 13th bday.

Today we headed back over to grammy and grampy's to cool off again. You are turning into a fish. After dinner you got back in the pool until almost 8 o'clock. You are becoming a pretty good swimmer.

And before I forget to mention.....You have been doing a fantastic job of using the potty. You tell me everytime you have to go (even when you are swimming) and you even got up in the middle of the night by yourself, took off your diaper and went to the bathroom without any help. You are such a big girl and I love you soooo much!!
Tomorrow we are going to the circus and I know you are going to have a blast!!!

Summer sleepover

Yesterday we spent the day with Mallorey and Logan. We went down to the bay again to play and Aunt Cyndi and Brandon met us there too. You 4 had a lot of fun. Then we stopped for some yogurt, and headed to grammy and grampy's to swim. It was a very hot day yesterday so we stayed in the water as much as possible. After we left grammy's, Mal and Logan came over for a sleep over with you. You guys had a lot of fun, we even tried to make airplanes but we weren't too successful cause they wouldn't fly. Oh well, then you guys played games, had snacks and then watched a movie. Logan was the 1st one asleep (at 11:30), followed by you (at 12:30) and who knows when Mal fell asleep because I fell asleep before her. The next thing I remember is hearing some noises at 8:30 am so I went to check on you guys and found Mal and Logan asleep peacefully, but couldn't find you. Finally I checked the bathroom and there you were, sitting like a big girl going potty. You had a dry diaper and everything. You spent the next 40 minutes just laying next to Mal watching Mickey Mouse while she and Logan slept. You were very cute. Once everyone woke up, we had some breakfast, played in the pool and now you 3 are making a complete disaster of the house. But it's very cute.. It's already hot, so we may end up at grammy's again??? We'll see... Love you and I am soooo proud of what a big girl you are becoming.

Universal Studios

Yesterday we went down to Universal Studios for your first time. Daddy and I hadn't been there for a long time so it was kinda like our first time too. We had a lot of fun. Here are some shots from the day.

Day at the Bay

Today we met the Seyfried clan and a bunch of their friends down at the Bay. You had a really nice time down there playing. You dug holes, built castles, found sea slugs, threw sand, got squirtted by the lifeguards, got splashed in the face by some random girl, and even got on the big paddle board. You weren't really a fan this time, but maybe if we go again, you will like it a little more?

You were definitely not afraid of those sea slugs. You kids found "a trillion" and dug a big water hole for them to stay in for about 20 minutes. The you guys decided to take them back over where you found them (a whole 30 yards away).





Here you are playing with Logan and Evan. At one point, Evan ran by you and you yelled, "Mom, I love him." Aye-ya-ya every day it's a new boy. Daddy and I are definitely in for it:0




After the bay we came home and rested, made dinner and then you helped me make these awesome cupcakes.


We took some over to the Seyfrieds house for dessert to thank them for inviting us to the bay today. Well, I hope you had fun today. I 'm sure we'll go back. I enjoyed it much more than the beach :) Love you french fry!

Weekend full of Birthdays

We just want to wish 4 very special people a very happy birthday.
Yesterday was your "sister" Tori's birthday...she is officially a teenager (poor jen jen)
Today we celebrate your cousin Hunter's and Auntie Evonne's birthdays
And Sunday is Uncle Doug's birthday.

Dodger Blues

Today we took you to your first (and hopefully last) Dodger game. You were very excited to go because we were meeting Jen Jen, Dan, Tori and Sophia there too. You also had your very first Cotton Candy while at the game, which I think is part of the reason why it is almost midnight and you are still awake??? After the game (which the Dodgers lost...yeah) they had an awesome fireworks show that we stayed for. Your eyes just lit up while watching them, it was so cool.

4th fun

When you woke up today, you decided that you wanted to have "straight hair like Mallorey", so you and I attempted to flat iron your hair, You did an awesome job of sitting for so long (Thank you, iCarly) while I straightened it. It came out pretty good for our first time.





We spent the rest of our 4th of July at Grammy and Grampy's (of course) and we had another very fun day filled with balloon fights,dancing, swimming, volleyball games, parades, sno cones, and of course fireworks.
