Under the weather

The last few days I have stayed home with you because you had a slight case of the flu. You couldn't keep any food down and you had a fever on and off. Today you seem much better. You haven't had a fever in over 24 hours now and you even ate some soup, and orange and a piece of licorice today- and it has yet to make its way back up. You alsowore pull ups today and went potty 4 times like a big girl. I'm so proud of you. Well, hopefully that little bug is gone for good and we can have a nice weekend. Love you french fry and I have loved cuddling with you the last few days :)

How scary is this to come home to.....

Fun Weekend

Boy did we have a fun weekend. We started off Friday night by celebrating mommy's birthday. You, all the kids, and all the daddies went next door to Uncle Mark's, while all the girls had a bunco night at our house. The best part of the night was when all you kids and daddies came over to sing and help blow out the candles. You are such a good helper at that.

On Saturday, we picked up Grammmy and Grampy and we headed out to the LA Zoo. We had a lot of fun with them looking at all the animals. You and I even popped our heads out of the meerkat holes.


You thought that was really funny. We saw all kinds of animals and we even eventually found you some popcorn.


I think you were the happiest about that. Grammy and Grampy bought you a few prizes because you were such a good girl and then we headed home.
The funniest part of the trip was when I told you that when we get home you could have a popsicle if you stop pushing the alligator (the annoying toy I picked out for you) and you closed your eyes and took a nap. You said ok, here grammy, handed her your toy leaned your head over and fell asleep. You slept for 3 hours:) And of course, after you woke up you asked for your popsicle.
Today we just hung out around the house, played, napped, and laughed. You are getting to be such a funny little character. I love you more and more every day. Thanks for always being such a good girl and always making me smile. I love you.

Love you so much

Today is Valentine's Day and boy are you NOT showing the love. You have been a little stinker today and for a good portion of this last week. I don't know what it is but you haven't been your normal Kendyl?? Regardless, I still love you so much. That has become my favorite saying lately, because every now and then you will just hug me and say it and it is soooo cute. Today the three of us went out for a drive by the beach and then had some dinner. It was a very casual day, but I loved every minute. Thanks for being the best Valentine! Love you french fry!

"Where'd church go?"

Today we went to Abbey's 1st reconciliation at her church. This, unfortunately, has been your first time in church (other than when you were 7 weeks old at Cherlene and Eric's wedding), so I was a bit nervous. But you did a really good job. I tried to "prep" you on the drive there and once we got there we walked in so I could show you everything. There was a man in there when we first went in and he said hello to you and told you how pretty you looked. So during the ceremony, you were, for the most part, well behaved. Except you kept asking me, "Where'd church go?" It took me awhile to figure out that you thought "church" was the man that we saw when we first got there and you didn't see him and wanted to know where he was. After the ceremony we went to lunch with everyone and had a nice time celebrating Abbey's big day.

Today is Grampy's birthday so last night you decided to make him a special video to show him how much you love him and want to wish him a great day.



Today after I pick you up we are going to go wish grampy a happy birthday with a yummy dinner and some cake :) So be a good girl at Jen Jen's so we can have a fun night. Love you! Happy Birthday Grampy! We love you!

Super Sunday

Well, we have been a bit busy the last week or so, which is why we haven't had time to get on here. We didn't even get the chance to wish Grandma Bea a happy birthday on Wednesday, but we were thinking about her and sending her some love. Yesterday just about the whole gang came over to watch the Super Bowl. We had a great day. We got a jumper for all the kids and had sooooooo much food and fun. Everyone was excited to see the Saints win. Yesterday was also Applesauce and Sophia's birthdays. After everyone left we put you in the bath, thinking it would be an early nap since you didn't have a nap. Boy were we wrong! You were quite silly in the tub.
I have to admit you are getting pretty good at your new bedtime routine though. We sit and read some books, then you tell Daddy you are ready, he lays you down and you fall asleep all by yourself. Last night was the first night in a while that you actually woke up in the middle of the night too. So keep it up, my big girl. Love you

Frustration at its finest

So this video thing is driving me bonkers. I don't know what the deal is, but I may have found a little trick. If/when I post a new video and it says the "video is currently unavailable" go over to the right side of the blog under the recent blog list and click on 2009. Then once that page opens scroll down and find a video to play. (hopefully it will play). Once that one plays, go back to the current blog and try to play the new video again. I don't know why it works, but it has worked everytime I have tried it. You just have to go far enough back and find one that plays and then it should work.
Sorry again for the annoyance. I'm still trying to fix it.

Big girl

The last 2 weeks you have been such a big girl. You have been doing really great with your new bedtime routine. We have been reading Where the Wild Things Are and you just love it. You actually have some of the pages memorized and you recite them along as I read to you. Last night you read your story to cousin Curt who was staying with us. Then we went in your room, read a few more stories, then you walked into the living room and said, "Daddy, I'm ready." So he came in your room, laid you down, bundled you up all cozy and you went to sleep. I am so proud of you little french fry. Now if we could just work on the potty training thing that would be great!
